Wilma Jean Howard

Wilma Jean Howard, age 89, lifelong Asher, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Thursday, April 18, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

She was born December 15, 1934 in Asher, Oklahoma to Delmer and Maggie (McCraw) Anderson.

Jean graduated from Asher High School in 1952.

She married James A. Howard on December 03, 1983 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jean was currently employed as a secretary and bookkeeper for The Guinn Company and has worked there the last 43 years.

She enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching sports on TV and spending time with her family.

Jean is preceded in death by; her parents; her husband, James Howard; her stepdaughter, Kathy McCabe; her grandson, James William "Tater" Howard; her brother, Billy Jack Anderson; and sister, Virginia Lou Culley.

Survivors include; one stepson, James K. Howard and wife Cindy of Nebraska; her sister-in-law, Sherry Hackett of Maud; grandchildren, Craig McCabe, Kelli Howard, Stacey Howard, Mike Rodriguez and Tara, Jeff Rodriguez, and Nicole Rodriguez; eight great-grandchild; Charley Jayne Mason, Hannah, Miguel and Malachi Rodriguez, Cali and Cole Rodriguez, Riley Brown and Willie Vanworth; three nieces, Joy Mitchell and husband Dennis, Shelly Dixson, and Jennifer Anderson Davis; one nephew, Jackie Anderson; three great nieces, Stephanie Hutchcraft and husband Bobby, Whitlee Davis, and Maizee Anderson; two great nephews, B.J. Anderson and wife Laci, and Derrick Dixson; three great-great nieces and nephews, Jackson Anderson, Steelie Anderson, and Harper Hutchcraft; her special cousin, Sharon Anderson Spicer, and other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh.  Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
