Zelpha B. Good

Zelpha B. Good, age 88, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 at her home in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Zelpha was born November 29, 1935 in Norman, Oklahoma, to Della (Brumet) Haggy Gunter.

She was raised in Oklahoma City and attended Centrahoma Grade School, Harding Junior High, and graduated from Central High School. She was the first in her family to graduate high school, and to go to college.

She met Rev. Jackie Dale Good at Raley Chapel in January and married the love of her life, on May 29, 1954 in Prague, Oklahoma.  After marriage she became the wife of a pastor for sixty years.

She worked for many years as a nurse's aide.  She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, attending church, singing, and watching t.v.  She was a good mother and a devoted wife.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Jackie Dale Good Sr.;  her mother; Della Haggy, and three sisters; Elsie Wasson, Lilly Thomas, Sue Dibbler; and brother, Jimmy Gunter.

She is survived by two children, Jackie Dale Good Jr. of Shawnee, OK and Reba Smith of Shawnee; three grandchildren, Caleb Adams, Trent Adams, and Danielle Smith; brother; Raymond Haggy, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
