Vivian Waniece Hill, age 88, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, January 24, 2025 in Shawnee.
She was born on December 31, 1936 in Macomb, Oklahoma to Arnold and Ina (Mabry) Sparks.
Vivian was raised in Macomb and attended Macomb Public Schools and was a graduate of Macomb High School.
She has lived in Tecumseh and Shawnee, Oklahoma and El Centro, California for 24 years, later moving back to the Tecumseh/Shawnee area.
Vivian worked at Western Electric in Oklahoma City, later in life was a hairdresser and was an Overland 18 wheeler team driver with Larry.
She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Tecumseh Chapter #30.
Vivan was saved and of the Baptist faith. She believed in her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.
As a child, Vivian enjoyed riding her horse. She was an excellent cook and seamstress sewing for many years making her grandchildren's clothes. Vivian enjoyed country music and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family was the focal point of her life.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Keisling; 2 husbands, Harold Keisling and Larry Hill; her parents, Arnold Sparks and Ina Gibson; sister, Darlene Dobbs; and great-grandson, Roman Arevalo.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cynthia Keisling Kesterson of Macomb, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Vicky Keisling of Newalla, OK; 2 sisters, Geraldine Graves of Shawnee, OK and Winnie and Gary Lindemann of Macomb, OK; 2 brothers, Rea and Betty Sparks of Tecumseh, OK and Recil and Michelle Mabry of Duncan, OK; grandchildren, Waniece and Wendell Myers of Macomb, OK, Amanda Rosamond of Tecumseh, OK, Jason and Alexis Keisling of Maryland and Brooke and Ron Arevalo of New Jersey; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Rosamond, Katelynn Myers, Kaycie Myers, Alynne Arevalo, Fynlann Arevalo, Jackson Arevalo, Lyra Keisling, Luca Arevalo, Fiona Keisling and Anders Arevalo; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025 and continue until time of service. Casket will not be opened after service. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
