Virgil Lewis Terry, 78, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his home.
He was born July 7, 1942 in Chowchilla, California the son of Clarence and Roselle (Meadows) Terry.
Much can be said about Virgil, but many will remember him for his fantastic sense of humor and old truck driver’s mentality and wit. He would tell you he was just a good ole country boy, but he was so much more than that.
He was a truck driver for over 40 years retiring in 2015. You could tell he was a jack of all trades and could build or fix anything; and if he didn’t know he would figure it out.
But he will tell you his greatest achievement was the love and relationship he shared with others, especially his beloved partner and wife of 40 years, Bonnie Campbell whom he shared a love story we all should be lucky to have in a lifetime.
Virgil is survived by his beloved partner and wife of 40 years, Bonnie Campbell of the home; his beloved sister, Genevieve Jones, of Copperopolis, CA; his step-children; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Roselle Terry; brother, David Terry; and beloved sister, Muriel Spicer.
Graveside Service will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Brown Cemetery with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
