Vernon Lee Wise

Vernon Lee Wise, age 69, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

He was born July 14, 1954 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Clarence and Hazel (Gamble) Wise.

Vernon was a lifelong resident of the Maud and Harjo area, graduating from Maud High School class of 1972.  

He worked in the oil field his entire life until his retirement and owned and operated the Dairy Land in Maud for many years.

Vernon collected and loved old cars, hotrods, and old tractors. 

Vernon was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Wise; parents, Clarence and Hazel Wise; brothers, Billy Ray Wise and CL Wise; and nephew, Michael Kelly.

Survivors include his daughter, Christine Wise of Harjo, OK; grandchildren; sister, Zella Brewer; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2024 and continue through service time.  Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Faron Coody officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
