Vell Hall, age 92, of Shawnee passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 in Oklahoma City.
He was born December 19, 1931 in Haywood, Oklahoma to E. J. and Callie (Lee) Hall.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Vell married Georgia Grant November 06, 1962, in Pekin, Illinois. They relocated from Pekin to Oklahoma City in 1962. He and Georgia relocated to Shawnee in 1981 where they made their home for the rest of their days.
He worked at Fred Jones Ford until his retirement in 1996. After retirement he worked for the Shawnee Medical Clinic as a courtesy driver.
Vell and Georgia were members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oklahoma City and joined St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in 1981. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He is preceded in death by; his parents; his wife, Georgia Hall, his son John Hall; his brothers, John Joe Hall, Warren Hall, and B.J. Hall; his sisters, Jurlean Gilliand, Opal Martin, Dolena Hall, and Olean Trail.
Survivors include; his daughter, Mary Carter; his sister, Lee Bevelhimer; his five grandchildren, Nick Hall, Madison Smith, Callie Hall, Grant Hall, and Timmy Perkins; his great-grandson, Maverick Smith, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 11,2024 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church with Father Brashears officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
