Tom Dell Scott, 88, lifelong resident of the Romulus area passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025 in Oklahoma City.
He was born May 22, 1937 in Romulus, Oklahoma to Dell and Belle (Hargus) Scott.
Tom was raised in the Romulus-Macomb area and was a 1956 graduate of Macomb High School. He was State runner up in basketball in 1956, remaining close to his teammates
He married Mary Martin on October 31, 1958 and they celebrated 59 years of marriage before her passing on November 11, 2017.
Tom and Mary were members of the Evangelistic Center Church
Tom worked at Tinker Airforce Base in maintenance and painting planes until his retirement. Upon retirement, he began farming south of Tecumseh. His passion was to run his cattle, being a pecan farmer and working on his dozer. He was proud of his land and enjoyed clearing the land around him.
He enjoyed hunting wild hogs on his property, OKC Thunder, attending car shows, fishing, attending OBU basketball games, car restoration and especially his 1957 chevy, his favorite restaurants, Sante Fe Steakhouse and Cattleman's Steakhouse.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Scott; his parents, Dell and Belle Scott; sisters, Louise Alkire and Sandy Early.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Nacy Scott of Perkins, OK; sister, Jane Scott of Shawnee, OK; and many friends and extended family.
Graveside Service will be 12:00 noon, Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Romulus Cemetery with Campus Pastor, Lee Moore, Oakland City University, Oakland, Indiana officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
