Tecumseh resident Tom T. Pruitt, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather entered into rest Sunday, October 25, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 85.
He was born March 23, 1935 to Theo and Billie (Green) Pruitt in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Tom was raised in Shawnee and graduated with the class of 1953 from Shawnee High School. He later earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Oklahoma and his Juris Doctorate of Law from Oklahoma City University.
He proudly served his county in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 and was honorably discharged.
Tom married Deloris L. Jaggers on March 7, 1959 in Durant, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on January 8, 2008.
Tom established his private law practice in Tecumseh where he dedicated his life to practicing law for 47 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shawnee and a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
Tom enjoyed shooting guns, hunting, cutting firewood, traveling, and was always up to a new adventure with family or friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Pruitt; and his parents, Theo Pruitt and Billie Macarty.
Left behind to cherish his memory include his 4 daughters, Lisa Sorensen and husband, Rex Sorensen, Teri Hudson and husband Jimmy, Cathy Pruitt, and Brenda Clark and husband, Paul; his grandchildren, Amber Walker and husband, Boston, Michelle Sorensen and fiancé Mark Seitz, Christopher Sorensen and wife, Theresa, Alanna Grigg and husband, Kent, Jennifer Taiwo and husband, Tunji, Jonathan Clark and wife, Brittany, Katie Clark, Shelby Fitzer Stephens, and Stephen Clark; his great-grandchildren, Caden McCalister, Brenlee McCalister, Kulton Garrett, and Avery Grigg; 2 sisters, Carol Crawford and Cathy Sanders; and a host of friends and extended family.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2020 and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery with family officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
