Thomas Donald "Gop" Goodman

Thomas Donald "Gop" Goodman, 57, of Little Axe, passed away on September 20, 2023.

Thomas was born on January 27, 1966 to Thomas Samuel and Edith (White) Goodman.

Thomas was raised in Little Axe and graduated from Bethel.

Thomas worked for OU as a power plant operator and worked for Little Axe Schools in maintenance.  He held a passion for coaching little league and helping people in the community.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and just hanging out with his boys.  He was a proud member of the Absentee-Shawnee Tribe.

He was preceded in death by, his parents, Thomas and Edith Goodman.

Thomas is survived by his sons; Blake Samuel Goodman of Norman, Brandon Thomas Goodman of Peridot, AZ; his ex-wife; Kim Goodman of Norman; his sisters, Meredith Wahpekeche of Newalla, Donna Butler of Newalla, and Lena Taylor of Newalla; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, and many friends.

Tribal Rites will be held Thursday evening, September 21, 2023 at the Absentee Shawnee Tribe Community Center with  Glenn Mann officiating.  Burial will be Friday morning, September 22, 2023 at the Goodman Family Cemetery in Newalla under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
