Thomas Lewis Wright, Jr.

Thomas Lewis Wright Jr., age 72, of Enid, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was born November 20, 1951 at Eglin Air Force Base in Niceville, Florida to Thomas Sr. and Ruby (Collier) Wright. Thomas was baptized in the Baptist Church.

Thomas attended school at Stroud, Wellston, and graduated from Enid in 1970.

He worked for Koch Industries in Wichita, Kansas for several years, and in Duncan, Oklahoma. He worked as a truck driver and had various other jobs until he suffered a stroke in 2005.  He had a great love for music and cooking. His greatest joy was playing his 12 string Ovation.

He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Sr. and Ruby Wright, grandparents; Dave and Pearl Wright, Everett and Eula Collier, 1 brother David Eugene.

Survivors include two daughters; Des Reshelle McLeod and Ashley Nicole Vieux; one granddaughter Carly Madelyn McLeod; sister, Gloria Gibbons; and brother, Robert LeRoy.  

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home.  Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Tecumseh Cemetery with Reverend Dan Johnson officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
