Theda Richardson Obituary

Theda Fern Richardson of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed from this life to heaven on September 7, 2021. She was born in St. Louis, Oklahoma, on February 7, 1929. Theda was married to the love of her life, Melvin “Buster” Richardson for 69 years. Together they raised three children; Robert Richardson, Kathy Young and Vicky Sinko. Theda was preceded in death by her husband Buster, her mother Mary Franklin and father Marion Franklin, and her three sisters Betty, Marion and Judy.

Theda is survived by her children, Bob, Kathy and Vicky, and their spouses Trudy Richardson, Billy Young and Rev. Joe Sinko; five grandchildren Kristy McIntire (RDH) and husband Dr. Tracy McIntire, Dr. Kerry Mose and her husband Dr. John Mose III, Kevin Sinko (RRT), Kyle Sinko (RRT) and spouse Dr. Lauren Sinko, Kody Sinko (RRT) and his spouse Lauren Sinko (RN), and six great grand-children Peyton, Preston and Pierson McIntire, Jack and Macy Mose, and Emeline Sinko. Her extended family include Trudy’s children Brian and Jenny Perry, Brian’s spouse Kathryn and their two children Madeleine and Margaret. All of whom she loved and was so proud!

Theda lived a very long and happy life that leaves her family and friends with many happy memories of a precious soul and a beautiful lady. She was the secretary and manager of Buster Richardson’s tank truck service for many years where she kept the books and kept Buster straight. She was an excellent cook who prepared amazing meals for many years so the family could gather every Sunday after church at the ranch in Saint Louis, where plenty of love was present around the table, and always more than enough to eat! She was an independent woman who even after the passing of her husband Buster, lived on her own for several years. She loved to drive her car and kept active every day going to “MacDonalds” to get breakfast, Dillards to shop for clothes, going to Carolyn’s Beauty Shop to get her hair done every week, and to the Cracker Barrell to have lunch with Kathy, Vicky, and her friends. She also enjoyed dining at the Boomerang Grill with Bob and Trudy on Fridays. Theda graduated from Saint Louis High School in 1947 and remained an active member of the alumni association, next year would have been her 75th high school reunion. She was a beautiful woman in appearance even at 92 years old. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Saint Louis, Oklahoma where she loved to sing in the choir and cook for Sunday fellowships. She was a current and active member of Sharon Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where she also loved to attend her Sunday school class.

Theda will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. But the most important thing about Theda is she was a Christian who loved the Lord and has now gone home to be with Him.
