Tawanna Ann White, age 68, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
She was born January 28, 1957, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Earl Elijah and Pauline "Louise" (Gokey) White.
Tawanna was raised in Tecumseh and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1975. She has lived most of her life in Tecumseh, and a few years in Moore.
She has worked in several agencies for the state of Oklahoma and retired after many years of service from the Department of Public Safety. She enjoyed spending time with her grandniece and nephews. She was a devoted Christian and was not bashful about sharing the gospel with those around her. She was known for loving to discuss and debate politics.
Tawanna is preceded in death by her parents; Earl and Louise White.
Those left to cherish her memory are; brother, David White of Tecumseh; sister, Reita Easley of Tecumseh; niece, Amber Giles of Tecumseh; nephew, Jason White and wife Shelby of Tecumseh; nephew, Michael White and wife Tana of Moore, grandniece, Blakely Giles; grand nephews, Kye White and Rhett White; and numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
