Steven Oldham Obituary

Steven Michael Oldham was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1968 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, a special present for his parents John Charlie and Lillie May Walker Oldham. He passed away in an Oklahoma City hospital Saturday, February 22, 2020. He was 51 years old.

Steve attended Shawnee schools and Gordon Cooper Technology Center where he trained to be a Certified Nurse Assistant. Steve loved music, Broadway musicals, comic books, video games, and figuring out technology challenges. He had a sweet, kind and gentle spirit and loved giving gifts.

Steve lived his entire life in Shawnee and he and his brother John were inseparable. He was a loving son who cared for his mother for the last several years of her life, a devoted brother, and a beloved uncle to his nine nieces and nephews. Steve was baptized at the Central Church of Christ in Ada by his nephew Luke Epps.

Steve enjoyed family gatherings and not surprisingly for a Christmas baby, reveled in the chaos of family Christmases.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lillie.

He is survived by sister Martha Nelson and husband Bill of Ada, brothers John Oldham of Shawnee and Kenneth Oldham of Oklahoma City, nieces Sunny Swopes and husband Terry of Ada, Summer Epps and husband Luke of Norman, and Sky Winn and husband Anthony of Austin as well as grand nephews and nieces Landon, Jackson, and Mason Swopes of Ada and Gracie, Zoie, Sadie, Mollie, Macie, and Finn Epps of Norman.
