Stanley F. "Stan" Hoisington

Stanley F. “Stan” Hoisington, 64, lifelong Tecumseh, Oklahoma resident passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Shawnee. 

He was born November 4, 1956 to Fredrick “Fred” and Frankie Jean (Murphy) Hoisington in Shawnee, Oklahoma. 

Stan was raised in Tecumseh where he attended Tecumseh Public Schools.  He graduated with the class of 1975 from Tecumseh High School. 

He married Angie Haley on March 17, 1981 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. 

Stan was currently employed as the Assistant Housing Authority Director for 30 years with Oklahoma County.  Also, he and Angie have owned and operated The Tobacco Shack in Shawnee, OK since 1983. 

He loved working on motorcycles and cars and enjoyed riding his bikes and driving his cars.  Stan was a good storyteller and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Frankie Jean Hoisington; and 2 sisters, Mary Dennis and Freda Evans. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angie Hoisington of the home; son, Stanley Michael Hoisington and friend, Christy Bright of Tecumseh, OK; brother, John and Linda Hoisington of Madill, OK; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ivan and Linda Haley, Betty Haley, Leonard Haley, Steve and Barbara Allen, Christy and Gary Campbell, Sandy and Frank Middleton, and Jack and Reneé Haley; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. 

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home.  Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Shaw and Stan’s brother, John Hoisington officiating.
