Shirley Sue Sigman

Shirley Sue Sigman of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, went peacefully to be with the Lord on June 9th, 2022, at the age of 82. She was born on March 6th, 1940, to William Tolly and Martha Jane (Milburn) Reid in Trousdale, Oklahoma. After moving to California for a time, Shirley came back to Oklahoma and graduated from Shawnee High School.

Shirley married the love of her life, Jack Sigman, on November 29th, 1958, in Shawnee, Oklahoma at her parent’s home. They were married for 63 years and had two children: Sandy and Jeff Sigman.

Shirley worked at Tecumseh High School as the secretary, at American National Bank as a proof operator, at Tecumseh Bank as a cashier, and then retired after 14 years from Tri County Rural Water in Earlsboro where she was the office manager. Shirley was a proud member of Broadway United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was an avid University of Oklahoma sports fan. She loved to go on many different trips with her family over the years.

She was preceded in death by parents, William and Martha Reid; and two brothers, Roy and Ray Reid.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jack Sigman of Tecumseh; sister, Corena Price of Tecumseh; sister-in-law Betty Reid of Shawnee; two children, Sandy and husband Skip Delsigne of Choctaw, Jeff and wife Michelle Sigman of Tecumseh; four grandchildren, Adam Delsigne of Choctaw; Alex and wife Lindsay Sigman of Shawnee; Scott Delsigne of Moore; Amy and husband Anthony Yousey of Moore; four great-grandchildren, Xavier and Isaiah Yousey, and Wakelynn and Eden Delsigne; and her close friends, Shirley Parker, Shirley Cummings, and many others.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13th, 2022. The family will be gathering at the visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the same day. A celebration of life service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, at Cooper Funeral Home with Pastor Noah Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
