Sherman L. Tiger, 55, lifelong resident of Little Axe, Oklahoma passed from this life Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in Norman.
He was born July 2, 1965 to Henry and Dorothy (Kaseca) Tiger in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Sherman was raised in the Little Axe area and graduated with the class of 1983 from Noble High School. He earned his associate degree from Haskell Indian Nations University.
He worked as a press printer for many years and was currently employed with the Absentee Shawnee Tribe as the media coordinator.
Sherman was a proud member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe. He loved going to stomp dances, flea markets, auctions; and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dorothy Tiger; 2 sisters, Nora Tiger and Ruby DeLodge; and 1 brother, Henry Tiger, Jr.
Survivors include his 3 daughters, Susan Tiger of Norman, OK, Alisha Tiger of Wanette, OK and Stormy and Luis Dominguez of Midwest City, OK; 3 sons, Terrance Tiger, Joseph Tiger and James Tiger, all of Norman, OK; 12 grandchildren; 1 sister, Frances Blanchard; 2 brothers, Raymond Tiger and Eugene Strickland; and numerous extended family and friends.
Tribal Rites will be Thursday evening, July 23, 2020 at the family home. Burial will be Friday morning, July 24, 2020 at Kaseca Family Cemetery in Norman, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
