Sharon Louise McLin, 77, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away on September 21, 2024. She died at home, as was her wish, surrounded by and cared for by family.
Sharon was born August 9, 1947, to Betty Louise and Murel Wise at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She married Jack McLin February 12, 1966. They lived side -by-side for 55 years before he passed on in 2021.
She loved flowers, gardens, children, animals, and laughing with others. Sharon/Sis/Aunt Sissy was a magnet, drawing family to her and pulling them all together. You always felt safe and cared for in her presence. For many she was a template, a model for the kind of person all people should strive to be in life.
Sharon is preceded in death by her 3 brothers; Jerry, Larry and John (Tommy); and sister; Denise.
She leaves behind three siblings Charlie, Murlene, Darryl, with countless nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces and other extended family and friends.
Though her loss will be felt indefinitely the blessing of her, the manifestation of the love and strength that she imbued in others is the legacy she leaves. We can continue to honor her by sharing her gifts with others.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2024 and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., September 27, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday September 28, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
