Sharon Lindsey, 86, of Seminole, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026.
She was born to Mark and Virginia (Butterwood) Bishop on October 29, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sharon grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah with her parents, Mark and Virginia Lindsey, and her four sisters, Linda, Merlin, Cathy, and Barbara. She graduated from Jordon High School and attended Gordon Cooper Technology Center after moving to Oklahoma. Graduating with an LPN, going on to work at Golden Rule Nursing Home as an Assistant Director.
Sharon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She enjoyed spending time with her family. She always had a small dog in her life; over the years she had several. One she was often seen pampering was her little dog named Digger, a brown chihuahua, Yorkshire terrier mix. When she was growing up in Utah she loved going up to the mountains and going skiing with her sisters. She enjoyed climbing up the mountains early in the morning as a kid and looking out to see the sunrise, rising over the Utah mountain. She enjoyed taking care of her family and ensuring everyone had whatever they needed. She had a large kind heart.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters, Cathy Fratto and Merlin Lovett.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cheryl Simpson of Tecumseh, OK; son, Gary Lindsey and Shoba Lindsey of Seminole, OK; 3 granddaughters, Jessica Gilbert of Shawnee, OK, Elizabeth Lindsey of Ada, OK and Raechel Simpson of Tecumseh, OK; grandson, Buford Fellows and Leah Fellows of Tecumseh, OK; great-granddaughter, Grace Bishop of Shawnee, OK; 2 sisters, Barbara Bryner of Odgen, UT and Linda Mathews of Hurricane, UT; and other extended family and friends.
