Sharion Victoria Place

Sharion Victoria Place, age 73 of Wanette, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Lexington, Oklahoma. 

Sharion was born November 12, 1950 in Chandler, Oklahoma, to James and Mary Jane Place.

She was raised in Chandler, Davenport, Eakley and Wilberton and then moved to Oklahoma City before making her home in Wanette in 1991 where she lived for the last 32 years.

Sharion worked as a waitress for several restaurants in Oklahoma City. When moving to Wannette, she then went to work in Asher for O’Dell’s. 

She enjoyed Crafting, Crochet, outdoors, Spending time with her grandchildren, and loved all the children in town, known as the “town stepmom.”  She was well loved by all and will be deeply missed.

Sharion was preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Bolton, Mary Jane Rebell and Crystal Kay Seabrook; and 1 grandson, Allan Easly.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Lee of Bolivar, MO; her son, Brian Jordan of Wanette, OK; her son and daughter-in-law, Shane L. and Sheryl Jordan of Davis, OK.; 3 grandsons; Nathan Shepherd, Ronnie Shepherd and Brandon Shepherd; 9 great-grandchildren; Christopher, Riley, Caleb, Dagon, Decklin and McKensey; sister, Carlean Shaddon of Wilburton, OK; her brothers, Ronald and Wilma Place of Buffalo, Missouri, Rickey Dale and Pat Place of Savanna, GA and Dickey Ray Place of Dallas, TX; and many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Wanette Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be 2 :00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Wanette Cemetery  in Wanette, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery in Wanette under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
