Sarah Anna Fisher, 37, of Wanette, OK, changed her address from earth to heaven on Tuesday, August, 22, 2023, at her home in Wanette.
Sarah was born on July 7, 1986, to Vernon and Sandra (Crites) Fisher in San Angelo, TX.
Sarah and her family moved to New Hampshire when she was a small child and lived there most of her life, graduating from Milford High School in 2005. She then attended Rivier University in Nashua, NH, for one year before moving to Shawnee, OK, to attend Oklahoma Baptist University. At OBU, Sarah earned an interdisciplinary degree with three minors in education, music, and ministry. Sarah later continued her education at Grand Canyon University, obtaining a master’s degree in elementary education.
While at OBU, Sarah worked as a switchboard operator and dispatcher for the university. After graduation, she worked as an administrative assistant for Chris Rick Insurance Agency. In 2020, Sarah finally landed the job that she had been waiting for, becoming an elementary school teacher at Macomb. She taught there one year before moving to Crossroads Early Childhood Center for a year. Her final year of teaching was in kindergarten/pre-K at Butner Public School. She loved her students and put her whole heart into giving them a good start to their educational journey.
Sarah had a strong and long standing faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior. She attended Immanuel Fellowship Church in Seminole, where she served for a time on the worship team. Sarah had a lifelong love for music, taking piano lessons as a young lady and then pursuing worship ministry in college.
Even though she considered it a hobby, Sarah was quite a talented artist. She loved to draw and color. Her favorite treat was dark chocolate, and she loved the Marvel movies. Sarah was never one to turn down an adventure, and she was always up for trying something new. Sarah even traveled to Japan after college and spent some time there learning about the Japanese people and their culture.
Sarah is survived by her parents, Vernon and Sandy Fisher of Wanette, OK, and two brothers, Nathanael Fisher of Oklahoma City, OK, and Timothy Fisher of Los Fresno, TX, along with a number of other family members and friends.
