Ronnie Winsett

Ronnie Winsett, 69, lifelong resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma until recently moving to Bristow passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in Tulsa.

He was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on January 31, 1956 to Clarence and Naomi (Barnett) Winsett. 

Ronnie was raised in Shawnee and attended Shawnee Public Schools and was a graduate of Shawnee High School.

He married Lenora Francine Wyatt on September 26, 1981.  She preceded him in death on January 27, 2013.  Ronnie later married Stacia Lee Sconyers on May 5, 2015 on a cruise ship in the Caribbean.

Most of his life’s work was in construction, on a tractor or building houses. He spent many years as an insurance agent. His love was working as a heavy equipment operator.

Ronnie was a humorous, big teddy bear and big-hearted person who would light up the room.  His family was very important to him and enjoyed spending time with them.  Most of all he enjoyed being outside working on his tractor.  He was a true country boy at heart.

He was known by his grandkids as Papa and found some of his greatest joys in spending time with them, creating cherished memories filled with laughter, love, and his stories.

He was preceded in death by first wife, Lenora Winsett; and his parents, Clarence and Naomi Winsett.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Stacia Winsett of the home; his son Caleb and wife Haylee Winsett of Bethel Acres, OK, grandsons, Corban Winsett, Cruz Winsett, Carsten Winsett. 1 step-son and 1 step-daughter; Brandon and wife Amanda Stubblefield of Bristow, OK; April and husband Rob Morrelli of Terlton, OK; grandchildren, Abby, Blake, Mya, Maddy, Emma, Casey, and Paige; 8 great great-grandchildren; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Almeta and Terry Messick of Tecumseh, OK; 2 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, Wayne Winsett of Little, OK and Rick and Kim Winsett of Choctaw, OK; and other extended family and friends.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church with lifelong friend Lonnie Wellman officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
