Robert Kent Hendon Obituary

Robert Kent Hendon, 74, of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, with his devoted daughter, April Cornwell, by his side.

Born January 31, 1951, to Claude Fairchild Hendon and Joy Loretta (Jordan) Hendon, Robert was a lifelong Oklahoman who lived life on his own terms.

He owned several businesses over the years, including his pride and joy back in the day, Big Red Pawn in Shawnee, and Earlsboro Auto Sales.

What truly brought Robert joy was spending time with friends out at Lake Eufaula, riding motorcycles, and cruising in hotrods. He loved the open road and the water.
Robert was a loving father and grandfather whose family meant everything to him.

He is survived by: His daughter, April Cornwell, and her husband, Micheal Cornwell; His beloved grandchildren: Bradley Baker, Josh, Sicily, Britton, Gavin, and Brandon; And many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Joy Loretta Hendon; and his brother, John Hendon.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025 and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Monday, December 22, 2025.  Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2025 at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
