Robert Hacker

November 8, 1956 ~ May 19, 2022 (age 65)

Obituary

Robert Hacker, 65, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 in Oklahoma City.

He was born November 8, 1956 to Robert Hacker and Martha (Oglesbee) in Baltimore, Maryland.

Robert’s father was in the Navy so he lived in many places growing up, but considered Tecumseh his home.  He graduated with the class of 1975 from the Newcastle High School “Racers”.  In 1976 he moved to Tecumseh where he started to make a life of his own.

He married Marcia Higgins on June 6, 1975 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  After marrying Marcia and becoming part of the family Robert began his 45 year career at Higgins and Sons Roof Truss where he worked his way from the bottom to the top and truly became one of the sons of Higgins and Sons.

He loved classic cars and restored a 1971 Chevy Chevelle from bumper to bumper; from pieces to award winning beauty.  Robert enjoyed drag racing and finding deals at swap meets with his brother Kenny, and spending time with his dog and best friend “Bowtie”.  Robert’s family was what he was most proud of.  Robert would help anyone in need and was always the person everyone could count on and has left this legacy of love and trust.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Milton Hacker; and mother and father-in-law, Willie and Maxine Higgins.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 47 years, Marcia Hacker of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Jeremy Maynard of Choctaw; son, Bobby Hacker and Shantha Fountain of Tecumseh; 4 grandchildren, Maggie, Presley and Emily Maynard and Zoe Fountain; his mother, Martha Hacker; 2 sisters, Beverly Hacker and Doris Claypool; 2 brothers, Tommy Hacker and Kenny Hacker; and many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2022 and continue through service time.  Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, Rock Creek Baptist Church with Destry Newman and Tanner Newman officiating.
