Ricardo Campbell Obituary

Ricardo Renae Allah X Campbell received a higher calling February 22, 2024 at his home in Shawnee, OK.

He was born May 15, 1955 to Carl and Lillie Mae Campbell. He was born the seventh of twelve siblings. He was the cutest baby born with a headful of curly black hair.  He was quite spoiled by his siblings and at a very early age was given the nickname, “Tiny.”

Tiny was baptized into Christ at Bell and Farrell Church of Christ by Bro. Leroy Simon, Sr.

He attended Dunbar and Washington Schools for early education where he participated in track. After graduating from Shawnee High School in 1973, Tiny moved to Phoenix, Arizona to live with his older brother Ronnie. He lived in Phoenix during his early adult life working in the family business. While living in Phoenix, he welcomed his only child, Lamoine Henry into the world.

In the early 80s, Tiny relocated back home to Shawnee. You would often find him sitting on his mother, Lillie Mae’s porch having their daily talks.  After her passing, Tiny was often seen with “The Administrator” - his big brother, Inman. Inman became his everything, his “best friend.”  Inman had unflappable patience with him.  Inman honored our mother by never complaining and keeping his commitment to her, “to always take care of Tiny.”

Tiny loved family gatherings especially hanging with his siblings. He had a big heart and a welcoming spirit that seem to attract people from everywhere.  His favorite leisure was spending time with friends at Firelake.

Ricardo aka “Tiny” as most called him had a few other nicknames which include “Rick Ricardo” and “Tiny Bull” a name he called himself because of his relationship with his dad, who reared him, Roy Bullion.

He enjoyed being Uncle Tiny to his nieces and nephews.  His greatest joy was attending his grandson, Elijah (Aubrey) Casey’s wedding in Raleigh, NC where he met his grandsons, Christopher, Jonathan and Khalyn.

Preceding him in death, father, Carl Campbell; mother, Lillie Mae Bullion; dad, Roy Lee Bullion; grandmother, Mary Lou Harris Brown; grandfather Wesley Brown and brother Donald Ray Foster.

He leaves to cherish his memory to his son Lamoine Henry, Phoenix, AZ; six sisters, Mildred, Edmond, OK; Patricia (Freddie) of OKC, OK; Deretress, Irving, TX; Shirley, Shawnee, OK; Othella (Bola), Port Arthur, TX and Francene, Phoenix, AZ.  four Brothers, Inman (Norma), Shawnee, OK; Ronnie (Theresa), Phoenix, AZ; Milton, Everett, WA and Andrew (Maggie), Phoenix, AZ. Five grandsons, Carlon, Elijah (Aubrey), Jonathan, Christopher, Khalyn and great-grandchildren, Emerie and Elijah II, all of Phoenix, AZ.   He had a host of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home.  Ricardo will Lie in State from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2024 at Farrall Street Church of Christ, Shawnee, OK.
