Renae Powers

Renae Powers, 35, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at her home. 

She was born December 22, 1985 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Gary and Pamela (Dawkins) Powers. 

Renae was raised in the Shawnee/Tecumseh area and graduated with the class of 2004 from Tecumseh High School.  She attended St. Gregory’s University and earned her Associate’s degree.  

She worked for Optometrist Dr. Michael Watters in Shawnee for many years. 

Renae loved doing makeup and fashion and was Ms. Congeniality for the Ms. Shawnee Pageant. She loved being a mommy and spending time with her daughter, Kapri.  She loved music, singing, her momma and most of all, loved Jesus. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Seth Powers; grandparents, Alan and MaeBelle Jordan, Jack and Vinita Powers and Lou Bergsten. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kapri Alexandra Clanton of the home; mother, Pamela Powers of Shawnee, OK; father and stepmother, Gary and Sana Powers of Shawnee, OK; 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law, Heather and Juan Del Moral of Norman, OK and Taylor Edwards of Moore, OK; 2 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law, Brent and Kimberly Powers of Shawnee, OK and Brandon and Stephanie Powers of Midwest City, OK; and many loving friends and extended family. 

Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 3, 2021 at Living Love Christian Center with Reverend Mark Guinn officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
