Rebecca Mae Hurd

Rebecca Mae Hurd age 68 of Newalla, Oklahoma passed away Monday, January 5, 2026.

She was born June 18, 1957 in Yuma, Arizona to Douglas Jr. and Wanda (Gilbert) Hurd.  She grew up in Arizona and California before moving to Oklahoma.

Rebecca worked for several years as a housekeeper.  She would often go beyond housekeeping duties to help her clients with other projects, and developed many friendships with her clients.  She enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes and restaurants, and going shopping.  She loved being around her family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was well loved by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by; her parents; two brothers; one sister; and her grandchild, Bentley Keel.

Those left to cherish her memory are; son, Tom Keel and wife Traci of Newalla; son, Jacob Keel of Shawnee; grandchildren; Paisley and Drew Keel of Newalla; sister, Roberta Hurd of Enid; and numerous nieces, a nephew and many loving friends.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, January 8, 2025 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Ward officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
