Raymond Rodriguez, Sr.

Raymond Rodriguez, Sr., 80, of Macomb, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 in Tulsa.

He was born February 12, 1940 to Burl Pike and Veronic Rodriguez in Monterey, California. 

Raymond was raised in Monterey and Ventura, California.  He moved back and forth between California and Oklahoma until retiring and settling in Macomb in 2011. 

He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. 

Raymond married Patsy Ellen Pierce on March 14, 1960 in Ventura, California.  She preceded him in death on May 14, 2012. 

He retired from Cal-Lift as an Industrial Mechanic. 

Raymond was a member of Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh.  He enjoyed locksmithing, fishing and hunting. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Rodriguez; great-grandson, Ian Townley; and his parents. 

Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Voni and Barry Cline of Macomb, OK, Teresa and Jay Spire of Bakersfield, CA; son and daughter-in-law, Ray Jr. and Merry Rodriguez of Macomb, OK; 9 grandchildren, Audra and husband, Aaron Williams, Devin and wife, Jessica Rodriguez, Rian and wife, Dena Rodriguez, Travis and wife, Arielle Cline, Austin and wife, Taylor Cline, Ashley and husband, Cody Townley, Jayson and wife, Brittney Spire, Patrick Spire and Troy Spire; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. 

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2020 and continue through service time.  Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Erick Henson, Tecumseh Highland Church of Christ officiating.  Committal service will be 2:00 p.m. at Blackwell Cemetery in Blackwell, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.  Please join the celebration of Raymond’s life through Cooper Funeral Home’s Facebook page for live streaming of the service.
