Peggy Lou (Trammell) Stephens

Peggy Lou (Trammell) Stephens, age 79 of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed from this life Thursday, July 18, 2024 at her home

She was born October 26, 1944 in Romulus, Oklahoma to Alvis O'Neal and Elsie (Long) Trammell.

Peggy was raised in Romulus and graduated from Macomb High School. 

She worked for the state of Oklahoma as a Nurse's Aide and retired in 2004 after many years of service. She attended Victory Chapel Church in Shawnee. She loved to color, go to garage sales, collecting purses and shoes, and she loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Stephens; her son, Billy Mac Barnes; grandson, Dillon Ray O'Quin; three brothers, Bill, Luther, and A.D. Trammell.             

Survivors include; son, Richard and Christa Brown; and their children Michelle, Rebecca, and Ashley Brown, and their five grandchildren. Her daughter; Kimberly and Sammy Holleman, and their children, Dalton O'Quin, Niklas Holleman, and their one grandchild.  Her son Frank "Two" and Alvina Barnes, and their children; Jordan and Hollin Barnes, Bralynn and Falon Powell; and their two grandchildren.  Her sister; Dorothy Jeppe and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.

Visitation will be held 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, July 22, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Romulus Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
