Paul Wayne Storey, 67, of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Paul will be remembered most for the way he lived his life—with passion, strength, and a heart fully devoted to his family. He was the kind of man people could rely on without question—steady, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand. Whether through his actions, his humor, or simply his presence, Paul made those around him feel supported, valued, and loved. He had a quiet faith and a love for God, and his family finds peace knowing he is now in heaven.

Throughout his life, Paul was known for his strong work ethic and his commitment to doing things the right way. He took pride in working hard and providing for the people he loved. His consistency, integrity, and dedication left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Paul was born on June 22, 1958, at Tinker Air Force Base to Betty and Paul Storey. He grew up in Midwest City alongside his three brothers, where those early years helped shape the strong sense of family and loyalty he carried throughout his life. He graduated from Midwest City High School in 1976, where he built lifelong friendships. In 1982, he married the love of his life, Robyn Young. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories as they raised their family in Bethel Acres.

Some of his favorite moments were spent relaxing and fishing for striper at Marval Trout Camp on the Illinois River. He also enjoyed time at Lake Eufaula—coffee on the porch, music turned up loud, and long days spent out on the water. Each year, he looked forward to cherished trips to the ocean with his high school friends—trips filled with laughter, stories, and a lifetime of shared history. A highlight of his week was his Wednesday morning breakfasts with his Dad and buddies—a time he genuinely looked forward to, filled with laughter, stories, and friendships that meant so much to him.

Paul was a proud and devoted father who rarely missed an opportunity to support his daughters. No matter the occasion, he was there cheering them on and enthusiastically showing how much they meant to him. In later years, his granddaughters became his greatest joy. Being their “Pops” was something he treasured deeply, and they were truly the light of his life.

Those who knew Paul will remember him as tender-hearted, funny, and kind—a man with a gift for storytelling that could brighten any room. He was someone you could always count on, especially in life’s hardest moments, offering steady support and a calming presence.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Storey, and his brother, Charles Storey Saucier.

Paul is survived by his devoted wife, Robyn Storey; his daughters and sons-in-law, Shawna and Nick Vance of Oklahoma City; Sam and Adam Jones of Bethel Acres; and Gracie and Adam Russell of Stillwater; and his cherished granddaughters, Parker Storey Jones, and Goldie and Ruby Russell. He is also survived by his father, Paul Storey of Midwest City; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen and Mary Storey of Fort Supply, and Dennis and Shelly Storey of Midwest City. He leaves behind numerous extended family members and a wide circle of friends who loved him dearly and will miss him deeply.

Paul’s legacy is one of unwavering love, strength, kindness, and laughter. The memories he created and the lives he touched will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma, with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to greet friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Pink Baptist Church in Pink, Oklahoma, with Pastor Steve Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
