Patrick Shane Pickens

Patrick Shane Pickens, 45, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 in Shawnee.

He was born November 14, 1975 to Billy Gene Pickens, Jr. and Terri Dale (Johnson) Pickens in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Patrick was raised in Shawnee and attended Shawnee Public Schools.  He lived most of his life in Shawnee.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Iraq War.

Patrick was an I.T. Technician with the Army and Tinker Air Force Base.

He loved fast cars and hanging out with his nephews.

He was preceded in death his father, Billy Pickens, Jr.; grandmother, Opal Pickens; grandparents, Robert and Georgia Johnson; aunt, Johnnie Sellers; uncles, Bernie Seeley and Glenn Johnson; and cousins, Quinn Sellers and Derrick Seeley.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Terri and Steve Denton of Shawnee; step-mom, Charlotte Pickens of Ada; sons; Nicholas Pickens and Shane Michael Pickens, both of Tennessee brother; Kyle Denton of Wewoka; sisters, Sandi and John Bohannon of Earlsboro, Brittany and Brian Goodwin of Ada and Jessica Denton of Wewoka; niece, Kaitelyn Bohannon; nephews, Lucky Bohannon, Chance Bohannon and Zanden “Pooter” Howard; former spouse, Natasha Roland Pickens; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home.  Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Keith Ward, Taproot Church in Shawnee officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
