Nadene Louise Vesta (Dino), 78, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025. Born on July 13, 1946, in Glendale, California, Nadene was a beloved wife, mother, Grammy, sister, aunt, and friend.
Nadene graduated from Capitol Hill High School and went on to have a fulfilling career as one of the leading photographers in the city and an Administrative Assistant at the Southern Nazarene University School for Children. She was known for her artistic flair and creativity, excelling in various crafts such as sewing, painting, and calligraphy. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing card games and embraced any opportunity to express her artistic talents.
Family was the cornerstone of Nadene's life. She cherished every moment spent with her husband, Bob Vesta, her former husband Ivan Decker and was proud of her three children: Trevor and his wife, Katy Decker; Danielle Decker; and Nicolin and his wife, Mikasa Decker. She was also a devoted grandmother (Grammy) to Riley, Callie, Conrad, Marguerite, Gianna, and Eva, as well as a loving sister and Aunt to Leslie Nicholson and Charlotte Graham. Her genuine spirit and loving nature touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
Nadene was preceded in death by her former husband, Ivan Decker and sister, Jimianne Wilson.
A graveside service will be held on May 19, 2025, at 10 AM at the Tecumseh Cemetery Pavilion, located at 18800 Gordon Cooper Dr., Shawnee, OK 74801 with Pastor Vicki Thorpe officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
A reception in her honor will be held directly after the service at Tailored Events Shawnee at 1 E Main St, Shawnee, OK from 11:00am-1:30pm.
Nadene's warmth, kindness, and creativity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
