Michelle Thompson Obituary

Michelle Lea Thompson, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed from this life and through the gates of heaven on January 9, 2020, due to COVID-19.  Michelle was born on November 20, 1970.  She graduated from Elmore City High School in 1989 and received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from East Central University.  Michelle and Brent Thompson were married on June 18, 1994, and they enjoyed 26 years of marriage.  Michelle was a loving wife, mother, accountant and rancher.

Michelle leaves behind her sweetheart and husband Brent, son Jacob Thompson and wife Bailey, daughter Kaitlyn Roark and husband Ross, her parents Paul and Kathie Phillips, in-laws Warren and Joy Thompson, brother in-law Darren Thompson and wife Shawna, and niece and nephew Abbey and Colby Thompson.

Michelle unconditionally loved and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, family, friends, and community.  She adored her children and was so proud of who they had become.  Known for serving others, Michelle loved to cook for others and host events from small birthday parties to large weddings. Michelle also enjoyed traveling extensively over the years with her family and particularly loved skiing with them in Colorado.  She equally enjoyed spending time at home taking care of the cattle, cats, and grand-dogs. Michelle was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and served many years with dear friends teaching children and serving on the Fellowship Committee.  She was saved as a child and loved God.  Michelle had a strong faith and raised her family with the same values.
