Mary Sue Davis

Mary Sue Davis, 73, lifelong resident of Asher, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 at her home.

She was born June 28, 1950 to Virgil and Violet (Wilson) Ranells in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Mary was raised in Asher and graduated with the class of 1969 from Asher High School.

She worked for many years as a cook for the Asher Senior Citizen Center.  

Mary loved her children and grandchildren. She loved going to garage sales, watching westerns on television, going to Boom-a-rang and Elvis.

She was preceded in death by son, Kenneth Michael Davis; her father, Virgil Ranells; sister, JoAnn Ranells Spoonemore; and mother-in-law, Lilley Davis.             

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Davis and longtime friend Jerry Roof of Asher, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Robyn Davis of Tecumseh, OK; mother, Violet Mae Ranells of Seminole, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Anita Ranells of Wewoka; 3 grandchildren, Chelby Davis, Josiah Davis and Abby Davis of Tecumseh; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2024 and at Cooper Funeral Home.  Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Sharon Baptist Church with Brother Gary Caldwell officiating.  Burial will follow at Vista Cemetery in Asher, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
