Mary Anne (Smith) Rizkharati of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on December 16, 2025.
Mary was born on February 24, 1954, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Floyd Charles Smith and Mary Isabel (Swink) Smith. She spent her childhood and teenage years in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
On January 12, 1973, at the age of 18, she married the love of her life, Yousef Rizkharati. Shortly after their marriage, Mary and Yousef moved to Washington, D.C., where they began their life together, before returning to Oklahoma a few years later. They ultimately made their forever home in Bethel Acres, where Mary spent many happy years.
Mary earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and devoted 20 years of her life to caring for others as a registered nurse. Her compassion, dedication, and quiet strength touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues throughout her career.
Outside of her profession, Mary found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, going to the movies, shopping, singing, and relaxing at her lake house. Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with love, laughter, and warmth.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Charles Smith and Mary Isabel (Swink) Smith; son Michael Rizkharati; sister Judy Smith; niece, Shelly Ramierez; brother, Junior Smith; great-grandson, Kyler Rizkharati.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Yousef Rizkharati, of the home, who shared more than five decades of love, partnership, and cherished memories with her; daughter and son-in-law Diana and Chris Low, Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Cassie low, Brandon Buckley, Maisie and Kaitlyn Rodriguez- Rizkharati, Jared and Aubrey Rizkharati, Angela Buckley, Darrius Low, Josef Buckley, Jacob Rizkharati, Robert Baysinger, Kenzie Baysinger, Lyriq Low, Jayce Rizkharati and Addison Buckley; great grandchildren, Ezra Ratigan, Lexa Ratigan
and Millie Rizkharati; sister, Shirley Rodriquez, Shawnee, Oklahoma; brother, Robert Smith, Shawnee, Oklahoma; many extended family, friends and loved ones.
Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her legacy of kindness, compassion, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Visitation will be held Thursday December 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm continuing thru time of service. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma with Very Rev. Christopher Brashears, St. Benedict Catholic Church, Shawnee, Oklahoma officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
