Mary E. Gammage, 69, of Macomb, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 in Tulsa.
She was born September 11, 1951 to Wilfred and Edna (Blanco) Orgeron in Morgan City, Louisiana.
Mary was raised in Morgan City and New Orleans Louisiana. She attended Baton Rouge Elementary, Oklahoma State University and Rose State College.
She married William Lawrance Gammage in 2001.
Mary worked as a secretary at Tinker Air Force Base in the 72nd Medical Group where she retired in November 2007. She also worked at the Tecumseh American Legion Post 260.
She was a member of Tecumseh American Legion Post 260 Ladies Auxiliary.
Mary loved flowers, was very artistic and enjoyed painting and crocheting Afghans. She loved spending time with her family. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Edna Orgeron; and step-daughter, Venus Moneque Vidaurri.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, William “Bill” Gammage of the home; 2 daughters, Tina Millet and Tammy Stelly (William); son, Tommy Bailey; 1 sister, Sandray Orgeron Roberts (Karl); 8 grandchildren, Brian Chappel, Jr., Ashley Strickland, Brittany Bane, Katilynn Palmisano, Keri Menard, Justin Stelly, Anna Bailey and Madison Bailey; several great-grandchildren; godchild, Malinda Ann Moore (Noah); 2 nephews, Louis Wayne Markham and John Floy Markham; 2 step-sons, William Gammage, Jr. (Nedra) and Raymond Salazar (Stephanie); 1 step-daughter, Stephanie Gammage; 4 step-grandchildren, Raymond Blanco, Exavier Blanco, twins, Raymond Salazar, Jr. and Lilyanna Salazar; and many loving friends and extended family.
Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2020 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Father Lawrence Damian, St. Benedict Catholic Church, Shawnee officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
