Mary Lou Fisher, a cherished lifelong resident of Shawnee, OK, passed away on April 24th, 2026, at the age of 95.
Mary Lou was born in Tecumseh, OK, on March 3, 1931, to Mary and Loniel Rader. She proudly graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1949. For many years, she dedicated her career to serving as a civilian employee at Tinker Air Force Base.
Mary Lou cherished her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a second mother to all her sisters’ children and loved taking care of them. She was very active with the American Legion for many years. She was a devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Mary Lou is survived by her nieces and nephews, Cherie Jolly, John Land, Ashely Land, Rickey Smith (spouse Debi), and Jay Smith (spouse Tosha). She is predeceased in death by her husband, Melford Fisher; her sisters, Nancy Land, Linda Smith, and Joveta Beal; her parents, Mary and Loniel Rader; and her grandparents, John and Jennie Rader.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday May 4, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Graveside services held at 2:00 p.m. Monday May 4, 2026, at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, with Reverend Phil Thompson, Liberty Baptist Church, Shawnee Oklahoma, officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA.
