Marian Alford Reeves

September 27, 1944 – August 28, 2023

With great sadness we share our loss. Marian has received her wings to heaven. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John, parents Mina and Leon Alford and sister Ann Alexander.

She leaves behind to mourn her passing sister Jane Floyd, Tecumseh; brother Paul Alford and wife Debbie Redondo Beach, CA; nephews Angelo Guerrieri and Jeremy Alford; nieces Gina Boatman and Amy Buoy as well as many other family members.

Marian graduated from Shawnee Highschool in 1962. The careers in her life included Secretary of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe and Assistant Administrator of the Shawnee Senior Center.

She has many friends who love her and will miss her wit and charity.

The family would like to thank the Regency Nursing Center and Traditions Hospice for their care and comforting of Marian.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 632 N. Kickapoo Ave, Shawnee, OK. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
