Lynda Kay Poe, age 80 of Pink, Oklahoma, passed from this life Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born July 16, 1944 in Gatesville, Texas to James Henry and Thelma (Rainey) Foraker.
Lynda was raised in the Tecumseh and Shawnee area and graduated from St. Benedict's High School.
She married Freddy Lynn Poe on July 30, 1967 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma.
Lynda worked as the Nutrition Director for the C.P.N. Tribe and was a homemaker for her family. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freddy Poe; and her brothers, Jimmy Westervelt, Donald Foraker, and Monty Westervelt.
Those left to cherish her memory; daughter, Lisa Bryner of Tecumseh; daughter, Vicki Rogers and husband Teddy of Tecumseh; son, Barry Poe and wife Amy of Wellston; and son Brian Poe of Tecumseh; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home with family gathering from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clint Dawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
