Luther “Kenneth” Wells, 79, of Chandler, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Chandler.
He was born January 19, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to Luther and Helen (Schwarz) Wells.
Kenneth was raised in Dallas and graduated with the class of 1959 from South Oakcliff High School. He graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in Arlington. Kenneth lived in Granbury, TX, Cedar Hill, TX and Carnegie, OK before moving to the Shawnee/Tecumseh area in 2000.
He married Donna Lee McKee on March 25, 1963 in Davenport, Iowa.
Kenneth worked as a Chiropractor before going into the commercial construction industry and later working for 19 years as the building inspector for the City of Dallas.
He enjoyed reading, especially Louis L’Amour books. Kenneth was a history buff and enjoyed watching crime murder mystery shows and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lee Wells; and his parents, Luther and Helen Wells.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Debra Sheffield of Round Rock, TX, Leslie Dawn and Ken Wright of Wewoka, OK and Lacy Dee and Greg Brown of Ft. Payne. AL; 2 sons, Ben and Shelley Wells of Lewisville, TX and Louis Kenneth Wells of Oklahoma City, OK: 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; and other extended family and friends.
Private family services will he held under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
