Lt. Bob Stewart

Lt. Bob Stewart, 50, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed from this life Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Bob was born June 26, 1972 to Robert “Bob” and Twila (Kennedy) Stewart in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Bob was raised in the Tecumseh/Shawnee areas and graduated with the class of 1990 from Tecumseh High School.

He worked as a machinist at Eaton Corporation in Shawnee, Reserve Deputy with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, a K-9 Officer for the Shawnee Police Department and back to Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office where he was currently a Lieutenant.

Bob was a member of the THS Alumni Association.  He loved working with hands and building things, especially guns and cabinetry and enjoyed leather working.  He once was on an episode of “COPS”.  Bob was a loving father, brother, son and loyal friend.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Meagan Stewart; and father, Bob Stewart.

Those left to cherish his memory are 1 daughter, Morgan Stewart of Lee’s Summit, MO; his mother, Twila Stewart of Tecumseh, OK; 2 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, Jason and Tracey Stewart of McAlister, OK and Clint Stewart of Earlsboro, OK; 1 sister, Misty Stewart of Tecumseh, OK; and his beloved pet, “Dooley”; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2023 and continue through service time.  Service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Evangelist Center Church, Shawnee, OK with Reverend Todd Tiffin officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.  Family, friends and public are invited to attend Bob’s service.
