Lousetta Campbell

Lousetta Campbell, age 76, lifelong resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023 at her home in Shawnee.

She was born November 8, 1946 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Thomas and Florence (Fox) Spriggs.

Lousetta was raised in Shawnee and graduated with the class of 1965 from Shawnee High School.

She worked as a waitress at Grand Cafe, Rose's and Town Talk Cafe.  Lousetta worked in the cafeteria at Will Rogers Elementary, Horace Mann Elementary and Shawnee Jr. High.  She also worked as the crossing guard at Will Rogers Elementary.

Lousetta was a proud member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe. She enjoyed jewelry making, watching Law & Order, CSI and Survivor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Florence Spriggs; her husband, Charles R. Campbell; and 3 brothers, Richard Allen Spriggs, Tommy Spriggs and Everett Spriggs.

She is survived by her son, Charles Campbell of Shawnee, OK; daughter, Charlotte L. Campbell of Shawnee, OK; sister, Doreen Meyer of Shawnee, OK; and other extended family and friends. 

Service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jeff Degiacomo, Immanuel Baptist Church, Shawnee, OK officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
