Linda Sue (Yott) Craft Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Linda Sue (Yott) Craft, who passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2025, at the age of 74. She was a devoted mother, wife and grandmother and will be deeply missed.

She was born December 15, 1950 to George and Florence (Herriman) Yott at their home in Asher. Linda grew up in Asher and attended Asher schools.

Linda married Pat Darius Craft on July 9, 1971 in Shawnee. Linda and Pat were married for 54 years. She worked for Tom Flora Photography for 15 years. Her favorite job was raising her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and anyone else that came to her house.

Linda had a love for Conway Twitty and Alan Jackson. One of her most exciting moments was when she met Conway Twitty at a benefit in Noble. Her husband drug her over to him and told Conway that he had someone that needed a picture with him. That picture will forever be hanging in their living room.

Linda had a love for photography and used every opportunity to make anyone and everyone around her be in her pictures. She loved scrapbooking and her home has numerous scrapbooks full of cherished memories. She spent many years in a bowling league. She loved scary movies and always had the kids watching them with her.  She dressed up for every holiday, loving Halloween the most. On Sundays her house always had a lot of people that gathered for her famous “Sunday Dinners”. Everyone was always welcome and had a standing invitation. She dressed up the skeleton in her yard that she called “Mr. Bones”. Linda was loved by everyone that met her and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Florence Yott; sister Ruby Leabo; brothers Darrell Yott, Marvin Yott, David Yott, Arlis Yott and Gene Yott; brother-in-law Wayne Chisholm; and daughter Tammy (Craft) Edwards.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Pat Craft of the home; children Kent Craft of Shawnee and Donny Colbentz of Shawnee; Sisters Georgie Tyron of OKC and Lucy Glenn of Shawnee; Brother Raymond Yott of Asher; sister-in-law Patsy Chisholm of Shawnee; Grandchildren Ben and Mandy Edwards of Shawnee, Chad and Tiffany Edwards of Tecumseh; Great grandchildren Maycee, Lincoln, Misty and Tammy Edwards; numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2025 and continue through service time at Cooper Funeral Home.  Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 31, 2025 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

The family wants to express our appreciation to Choice Hospice of Shawnee. They made Linda’s last moments peaceful, and we are thankful for their kindness and care.
