Linda Charlene "Charlene" McClure age 80 of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed from this life Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
She was born September 4, 1943 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Charles and Mayme (Lewis) Stapp.
Charlene grew up in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1961. After graduation she attended Oklahoma Baptist University.
She married Ron McClure on July 13, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Charlene was the cafeteria director for Tecumseh Public Schools, and retired in 1997 after 24 years of service. She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. She loved gardening, watching and feeding birds, attending her grandchildren's events, and traveling.
She is preceded in death by; her parents Charles and Mayme Stapp.
Survivors include; husband, Ron McClure, of the home; son Rick McClure and wife Colette of Tecumseh; son, Michael McClure and wife Rosie of Seymour, TX; grandchildren, Taylor Williams and husband Stewart of Harrah; Marleigh Shirtum and husband Caleb of Ada; Mayme McClure of Ada; and Hayden McClure of Tecumseh; great-grandson, Brooks Williams of Harrah; sister, Cheryl Lawson and husband Mike of Shawnee; sister-in-law, Charlotte Ricketts of Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 2, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Danny Napier officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
