Linda Whisenhunt

Linda Whisenhunt, 76, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Shawnee. 

She was born July 28, 1945 to Roy and Thelma (Harmon) Adams in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. 

Linda was raised in Tecumseh and graduated with the class of 1963 from Harjo High School.  She has been a resident of Shawnee for all of her adult life.  

She married Larry Whisenhunt on August 23, 1969 at the home of Clois and Lavern Deloach in Shawnee, Oklahoma. 

Linda worked for the Oklahoma State Health Department in Shawnee for 26 years. 

She loved fishing, traveling and her puppies. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Thelma Adams; sister, Laverne Deloach; and brother, Darrell Roy Adams. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 52 years, Larry Whisenhunt of the home; and other extended family and friends. 

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home.  Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
