Linda Gail Russell

Linda Gail Russell, 75, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in Shawnee. 

Linda was born June 17, 1947 to Jimmie and Charlotte (Lee) Kissee in Seminole, Oklahoma. 

She was raised in Bristow, Oklahoma and graduated from Bristow High School.  Linda lived numerous places as a military wife for 18 years, before settling in Moore, Oklahoma before living her last few years with her son in Tecumseh. 

She worked many years at Walmart in the Jewelry Department as a sales associate. 

Linda liked to collect elephants and her favorite color was purple.  She was involved in the Lions Club in Moore and was the first women to win an award with the Lions club.  She loved her family and friends; and was always willing to help them out in anyway she could. 

She was preceded in death by husband, D.C. Russell; parents, Jimmie and Charlotte Kissee; and sister, Judy. 

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lorie Ballard of Tecumseh, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Andy Self of Midwest City, OK; 4 grandchildren, Michelle, Keith, Mickey and Leah; 9 great-grandchildren, Liam, Camryn, Zoey, Rylee, Kassidy, Alyssa, Ady, Bridgette and Jetta; 3 brothers, Pete, Gary and Terry; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. 

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home.  Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Keith Cole, Traditions Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
