Linda Milburn Obituary

Linda Deanna Milburn, age 85, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

She was born on June 14, 1939 in Pearson, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Ethel Sanders.

Linda was a member of the Avoca Church of Christ.

Linda grew up in Asher, Oklahoma.  Later in life she raised her three daughters in Lone Star, Texas working as a homemaker and later worked at Wackers in Dangerfield, Texas before returning back to Oklahoma to be with family.

Linda then worked at the State Capital of Oklahoma Employment Office, Bow Pipeline, Koch Oil Company, and Turner Brothers Trucking Company. She shifted her focus to helping others, working with the American Heart Association, volunteering with the PTA, Hospice, and hosting international students attending college in the U.S.

She had a passion for flower designing, card games, and cherished her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren above all.  Linda’s joyous spirit, empathetic soul, and infectious smile made her the life of any party, and her love was unparalleled.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ethel Sanders; husband, Marion Milburn; daughter, Pamela Etchieson; stepdaughters, Joan Albarado and Jane Sitton; stepson Fred Milburn; grandson, Michael Gray; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Gray; step grandson Michael Sitton; step great- granddaughter, Harley Albardo and brother, Kenneth Sanders; and sister, Towana Gober.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Gray of Shawnee, OK and Dana and Milton Blackburn of Oklahoma City, OK; step son-in-law Joe Albarado of Carenco, LA; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-greatgrandchildren; her sister, Bompy Palmer of Maud, OK; sister-in-law, Lavon Sanders of South Rock Creek; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

                  

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Chase Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
