Leta Mae Adams

Our beloved mother Leta Mae Adams died January 2 at the age of 97.  Services are scheduled for 1:30 family visitation with the service starting at 2:30 pm January 9, 2026 at Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh, OK with the Reverend Mike Craig.  Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Mrs Adams was born March 22, 1928 in Macomb. OK  to Victor Flowers and Beatrice (Moore) Flowers.  She moved to California with her parents.  She married Joe Adams on December 11, 1944 in Bakersfield, CA.  She and Joe moved back to OK in 1956, living in the Tecumseh/Shawnee area where Joe ran a cattle ranch.  She retired from Tinker AFB in 1975.  Joe died on August 6, 1996.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Shawnee.   She married Jack Martin 24 March 2001.   Mrs Adams was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter Carolyn Scism in 2013,  Jack in 2000 and brother Leroy Flowers.    She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis  and son-in-law Nelson White, Linda and son-in-law Bill Terry.  She has seven grandchildren Angle Rudolf, Michael White, Ryan White, Melanie Kent, Darrin Cartwright, Stephanie Rodriguezs, Jason Scism, step grandchildren Tonya Kuhn and James Terry.  Great grandchildren Brooke Smith-Hohle, Adam Green, Lauren Canaan, Eli Jackson,  Alexandra Wirt, Sarah Colvin, Joseph Cartwright, Hannah Cartwright and James Cartwright and brother Ray Flowers plus two step great grandsons Joseph  and Matthew Kent.  She is also survived by 14 great great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephew that she dearly loved.
