Leroy Dewayne Batt, age 83 resident of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at his home.
He was born August 8, 1941 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Amos Augustas and Helen Francis (Smith) Batt. Hew was raised in Bethel Acres and attended Bethel Schools.
Leroy married Dorothy Sue Leyerly in Texas.
He worked as a carpenter for the Methvin Brothers for over 50 years. He enjoyed riding horses, driving, yard work, whittling wood, and was a talented guitar player.
Leroy is preceded in death by; his parents; his wife, Dorothy Sue Batt; and numerous siblings.
Those left to cherish his memory; daughter, Cindy Batt and husband David Conatser of Macomb; daughter, Karen Ward and husband Tommy of Macomb; son Leroy Batt, Jr. of Bethel Acres; grandchildren, Amber Batt, Zachery Batt, Natasha Batt, Lindsey Ward, Brittany Bland, Tiffany Batt, Cassie Batt, and Beau Batt; many great-grandchildren; brother, Don Batt and wife Linda of Bethel Acres; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Townsend officiating. Burial will follow at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
