LeeAnn Wingo

LeeAnn Wingo, age 70 of Shawnee, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 in Oklahoma City.

 She was born September 2, 1949 in Shawnee to Leroy and Barbara Lee (Stith) Herrell.

 LeeAnn was a lifelong Shawnee resident and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1967.

She was a bookkeeper with the City of Shawnee for more than 35 years in the Treasury and Accounting department. After retirement from the City of Shawnee, she worked part time for Grace Dance Center.

 LeeAnn loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed going to the lake and camping.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Gary Herrell.       

LeeAnn is survived by her daughter, Amber and Jeffrey Rooks; 5 grandchildren, Dylan Ingraham, Taylor Ingraham, Christian Rooks, Austin Rooks and Taylor Rooks; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhonda and Stanley Austin and Susan and Pete Carrels, all of Shawnee; brother, Larry Herrell; and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home and continue through service time. Private graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee with Brother Larry Sparks officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
