LaShawna K. (King) Talton

LaShawna K. (King) Talton, 49, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at her home. 

She was born May 22, 1971 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Lester King and Linda (Clifford) Limones. 

LaShawna was raised in Shawnee and graduated with the class of 1989 from Shawnee High School. 

She married Byron Talton on July 5, 2009 at Sharon Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma. 

LaShawna worked in home healthcare for many years. 

She loved horses, dressing up and doing hair and makeup.  Her grandchildren were the focal point of her life. 

She was preceded in death her father, Lester King.

Survivors include her husband, Byron Talton of the home; 5 daughters, Shawnetta Talton of Shawnee, OK, Alexis Talton of Norman, OK, Cecilia and Shelby Murray of Tecumseh, OK, Lindelle and Jason Kessinger of Shawnee, OK and Maria Limones of Shawnee, OK; 11 grandchildren; her mother, Linda Kay Limones; step-father, Jose Ramos; 3 brothers, Kenneth Wolf, Joseph Cervantes and Missael Cervantes; and other extended family and friends. 

As per LaShawna’s request no formal services will be held.  Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.  There will be no viewing.
